First Annnual Session - THIMUN-Singapore

Health & Youth

The First Annual Session will focus on "Health & Youth" which will be the theme of the Inaugural Conference in 2005. The spread of HIV/AIDS and lethal pandemics, such as SARS and Asian flu, have made the world aware of the need for urgent medical research and universal access to medicines and medical treatment but have also focused attention on the plight of AIDS sufferers and AIDS orphans.

The four committees of the General Assembly, the Security Council and the ECOSOC will, of course, also be in session during the week, each forum under the control of Student Officers from many different schools and nationalities and headed by Secretary General.
